Plan Smart Financial Planning Limited is the data controller for your personal data. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (reference 625144) and registered in England and Wales (09001772). The information we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, email and phone number.
- Information about your financial circumstances and goals, where you ask us to advise you.
- Information about how you use this website and your client portal.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To provide advice and run your accounts — to perform our contract with you.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations — for example, FCA record-keeping and anti-money-laundering rules.
- To improve and secure our service — our legitimate interests.
- Marketing — where you have asked us to, we may email you about our news, insights and services. This is based on your consent. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your data only where needed to provide the service or where the law requires it — for example with our platform and custody partners (JustFA and Seccl), our investment manager (Fusion Asset Management LLP), and regulators.
We also use service providers who handle data on our behalf: Brevo, which delivers email sent from this website and holds our mailing list; and Google, whose reCAPTCHA service protects our forms from automated abuse and whose Analytics service tells us how the site is used. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as we provide your service, and afterwards for the periods required by the FCA and by law. Enquiries sent through this website are kept for two years and then deleted. Access to them is limited to Plan Smart staff.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
